Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house which has a combined gross house income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic earnings will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the right Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African nsfas login ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to nsfas login wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
